Sooooo it's been a while. What can I say, life is hectic. And I've certainly kept busy this past week in particular...Time with family is important, and I hope everyone had a lovely Thanksgiving. Mine was pretty low-key. What wasn't low-key is the Black Friday/Cyber Monday shopping frenzy I partook in following the holiday. I did every last bit of shopping online for the sake of convenience. And how could I avoid it with the copious amount of sale emails flooding my inbox throughout the weekend. It was out of control, and trust me I didn't shop nearly as may sales as I got alerted to. Of course there were a few I couldn't resist....
1. JewelMint: I've been a major fan of the Kate and Cher inspired jewelry line since it's launch, and I keep a running favorites list at all times. With a 50% off promo spanning several days, I wound up placing two separate orders. Following the first order they released some newbies, so I had to go back for seconds. I'm looking forward to pairing the super sleek Gold Lame Necklace with the chunky amethyst Casbah Bracelet. The Gatsby set is ultra femme, which isn't my typical style, but it's just so pretty and I'm a sucker for a necklace with matching earrings. It'll make a swanky gift if I don't love it for myself. The Cersai Necklace is like an edgy rocker version of Gatsby, more my speed, and I can't wait to style it with a semi-sheer button-up blouse. Finally the Setting Sun Earrings and Sun Stone Bracelet caught my eye with all that fiery orange bling. Definitely excited to see how they look in person. And thanks to the awesome promo, I got all seven pieces for a total of $105. Pretty sweet if you ask me. 2. ShoeMint: JewelMint's sister brand has been turning out super cute shoes for exactly a year now. I've stalked several styles in the past, but they always tend to sell out quickly. Prior to this I'd never actually made a purchase through the online site. I did however have the pleasure of attending BeachMint's Santa Monica sample sale last summer where I scooped up Courtney for half price. Having never purchased through the web, I was lucky to be eligible for a surprise promo code on Cyber Monday, valid for new customers only, that scored me Jess for only $1! I could barely believe it. Sexy animal print calf hair pumps for one dollar. How can you go wrong with that? Thanks to ShoeMint for a too-good-to-be-true deal on some really cute shoes. Can't wait to get them in the mail! 3. ALDO: Shoes are by far my number one weakness, and ALDO is a personal fave. Their website stocks tons of styles and the Black Friday/Cyber Monday sale was pretty fab. In some cases up to 50% off plus an extra 15%. I could have broke the bank and ordered my whole wish list, but that would have been cray cray. Instead I settled on two perfect wintertime picks. Michigan is an edgy spiked architectural wedge ideal for holiday party hopping. And Eckel is a sumptuous navy suede ankle boot I look forward to pairing with navy tights for a sophisticated monochrome look. 4. Boutique 9: One of my most beloved pair of ankle boots was my first Boutique 9 purchase a few years back. Initially, I didn't realize it was Nine West's higher end line, but I figured that out pretty soon after. I prefer Boutique 9 to the standard line largely because the styles are more unique with some added embellishments. Take the super stunning bejeweled Emlyn. I've been stalking this shoe for months, but $275 was too much of a splurge. Thankfully I waited, because the price dropped to $96 over the weekend and I couldn't be more thrilled. Finally there's Justine, which I've spotted in several colors over the past few. This newer glitter version is easily my fave...it doesn't look at all cheap the way some sparkly shoes tend to. And it's another great option for holiday shindigs. Well there you have it. That's my Black Friday/Cyber Monday shop 'til you drop round-up. Needless to say, I'll be checking the mail like crazy next week until everything arrives. In the meantime, feel free to fill me in with your sale scores in the comment section!

The best giveaway ever!!! Win up to fifty free pairs of shoes courtesy of Nasty Gal. Trust me their shoe selection is AMAZING. Dolce Vita, Jeffrey Campbell, Matiko...all the good stuff. I would enter 1000 times if I could, unfortunately this one's limited to one entry per person. Try your luck here by November 1st and you might just be thankful you read this post.
Revolveclothing.com has been one of my favorite online shopping destinations for years. And I was super stoked when they opened a brick and mortar store on Melrose a few years back. I've attended several great launch events at the Melrose spot, but the online site remains a favorite due to it's crazy vast selection of crave-worthy designer duds. I used to get a little out of hand shopping Revolve...when the credit card bills came in it could be scary! But I've toned it down a bit in recent years, and I haven't splurged like that in a while. Hence I was surprised (and a bit confused) a few days ago when a relatively large package arrived at my door from Revolve. I opened it thinking, hmmm if they've sent me something fabulous by mistake I'm definitely keeping it...terrible I know but I couldn't help the thought! Of course it all made sense when I realized they had sent a lovely print version of their fall look book - large and glossy and easily as nice as any coffee table publication. What I wasn't expecting was the card, essentially stating it's been a while, here's $200 to use towards your next purchase. I was floored. I had to read it several times to make sure what I saw was true. They sent me a $200 gift card, absolutely no catch, I just have to use it by December 31st. Obviously, that won't be difficult. In truth, I ran straight to my computer and began compiling a wishlist. I browsed the entire women's sale section in an effort to really stretch that $200. Unfortunately I wound up with a list totaling well over $200 worth of merchandise, but I've included a few of my top picks here. The House of Harlow Triple Horn Pendant Necklace has been on my radar for a while, and now it's on sale for $85. I love edgy statement pieces and could easily style this a number of ways. Also, I've been looking for a pair of black cropped trousers. This pair from Genetic Denim is super sleek and versatile, and although they look like denim, they're actually 97% silk. Finally, I'm obsessed with the leopard print blazer by Patterson J. Kincaid. I love a blazer with strong shoulders and don't own a leopard version, so this is definitely something I need in my wardrobe. Just want to say a huge THANK YOU to revolve for this awesome surprise gift. Rest assured I'll put it to good use :)
As a follow-up to last night's post, I just wanted to share this snapshot of my current Sole Society closet (i.e. wishlist). I absolutely love the color story and find it especially fitting for fall - perhaps not all the open-toes but definitely the colors. Plus here in So Cal you can pretty much get away with open-toes through the winter. Clearly I'm into platforms, but Sole Society offers everything from ballet flats to riding boots. Register here through my personal referral link and start filling up your own closet now!
Okay, so I've been meaning to post about my recent purchase from Sole Society...The order actually arrived last month, but life's been hectic and now I'm finally sitting down to write about it! For those of you who don't know, Sole Society is member's only shoe site where you can browse hundreds of shoes to find that perfect pair, at an ultra affordable price. Most of their shoes sell for either $50 or $60 with free shipping. There are no membership fees and there's no obligation to buy. Sole Society is partnered with Nordstrom and Vince Camuto so of course the shoes are fantastic quality for the price. One of my favorite features on the site is the "My Closet" feature, which allows you to keep track of all your sought after shoes...essentially a wishlist. Obviously my closet is quite full, but just a few weeks ago I was able to free up some space during Sole Society's summer BOGO sale. Buy one get one free is an incredible deal, too good to pass up, so I broke down and ordered four pairs of shoes for the price of two! I was taking a bit of a risk because BOGO shoes are final sale, but fortunately for me, all the shoes arrived in perfect condition and fit precisely true to size. You can see the lovely new additions pictured above - Mattie in cognac, Nahla in natural, Lena in buttercup, and Ruthie in coral - I got all four for $120! That's like four pairs of shoes for the price of one if you ask me. All four styles are still available on Sole Society's website, though they're no longer buy one get one. Even at $50 per pair they're still an excellent buy. Register here and start shopping today! I definitely recommend Sole Society to anyone looking for a cute pair of shoes at a great price.
My hands down favorite thing to shop for is shoes. I must buy a pair a week these days. I'm obsessed. Very seriously obsessed. I would buy more if I could but I'm running out of room to store them all. Of course, I couldn't afford all these fabulous shoes if I was paying full price. I almost never pay full price for a pair of shoes, or any fashion item for that matter. Behold these insanely cute, leg-lengthening platforms from Nine West. I first spotted these babies when they were released last spring. Absolutely loved them and fantasized for a while about buying them. But then I got caught up in the flow of life...I spent my whole summer abroad in the UK, where I shopped for tons of summer sale discounted goodness that couldn't be found in the US. And yes I came home with three new pairs of shoes, among many other fantastic finds. I've shopped a decent bit since my return from across the pond, but these shoes didn't re-appear on my radar until Friday night. I was out at the Westside Pavillion mall, actually getting a pedicure...LA's weather is still in the triple digits so I'm still in open-toes. As I passed by Nine West following my pedi, I spotted multiple shelves of clearance shoes, so I had to pop in. Wasn't expecting to find these in my size, and in fact, the sales girl told me they were out. But then moments later she returned with a fresh pair - the only pair in my size - and they were still brand new plastic wrapped and all inside the box. It was serendipity! They were in perfect condition, a perfect fit, and super comfortable. The best part...when I first saw these shoes they were selling for $99. Last Friday I scooped them up for $19. Seriously. Even I couldn't believe it. Just in case anyone's interested, they're out of stock on Nine West's website, but you can still find them here for around $50.
Spring/Summer 2012 wash awash with brights, and aside from the fact that I'm not quite ready to give that up, this fall is more color friendly then some seasons past. Hence, I was thrilled to stumble upon this ultra-luxe find at H&M today. The pieces will easily pair with your fall time staples to create a colorful, statement making look. The leather-like clutch is extra rich with gold toned hardware and a fabulous fringe tassel. Not to mention the combination of neutral plus bright is one of my all-time faves. This piece works well for fall because the material denotes warmth and the cognac color deepens the overall hue. At $17.95 it's a steal! Now the earrings are a major statement, but chandelier earrings are super in. This pair is totally glam and fits right in with fall's sparkly, embellished trend. Rock this duo with dark wash skinny jeans, suede pointy toe pumps, and a chic faux-fur coat for a look that's lady luxe.
