So what exactly is a "Modern Belle"?

When it comes to style, I'm inspired by both classic and modern elements - and the same can be said for many other aspects of my life.  I coined the term "modern belle" after reading this article by Candace Thompson.  (It's worth the read.) I have tremendous admiration for the women of yesteryear, who excelled at cooking, cleaning, and parenting, all while looking pulled-together and maintaining a sense of personal decorum. At the same time, I embrace a forward-thinking, progressive value system, and throughly advocate all the strides women have made over the years.  Which got me thinking - as a woman, why can't you be both? Why can't you be chic and beautiful (inside and out), with fabulous cooking skills, a well-decorated home, and of course a wardrobe to die for... but still be a modern women who balances family with career and believes in equality and empowerment?  This is how I live my life, and this is what I enjoy helping other women to achieve.  I love guiding clients to feel pretty, pulled-together, and in-control through attention to functional and aesthetic details of daily life.  If you've ever dreamed of a perfectly organized closet full of only the items that flatter you, a quick and easy makeup regime that you can employ for everyday use, or a tranquil bedroom that you can't wait to enter at night, I'm here to make that dream a reality.  I believe that we are sensitive to and affected by our surroundings and the way we present ourselves.  I desire to empower women through taking charge of these important but often overlooked details.
